Longwood University Brock Hall: LEED Silver

The USGBC announced that Brock Hall (Longwood University Student Success Center) achieved LEED Silver certification on November 28, 2018.  This new building is a centralized hub for essential academic support services and an important resource for current and future Longwood students.  E. K. Fox & Associates, Ltd. contributed to the LEED design efforts through the design of energy efficient mechanical systems utilizing on-site renewable fuel sources, water use reduction fixtures, LED sourced lighting and occupancy based lighting control systems all contributing to maximum energy reduction.

Longwood University Residence Halls: LEED Gold

Longwood University Residence Halls  Awarded Prestigious LEED Green Building Certification February 14, 2017 (Farmville, Va.)

Longwood recently announced that it has been awarded LEED Gold for its Residence Halls.  The LEED  (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council  (USGBC). As part of an A/E design team, EKFox helped to achieve a LEED Gold rating by maximizing the on-site renewable energy credits, optimizing  energy performance and achieving significant water use reduction.`
